UAAE's academic structure is designed to produce graduates who are technically excellent, globally competitive and ready to lead the future of aerospace and aviation.
UAAE is organised into four NUC-approved faculties, each with a distinctive academic identity and a clear focus on producing graduates equipped for the aerospace age. The Faculty of Engineering leads with twelve departments, supported by the Faculties of Science, Computing, and Management Sciences.
The largest faculty at UAAE with twelve NUC-approved departments — spanning core aerospace engineering disciplines and a broad range of engineering fields. This breadth ensures graduates are equipped for both the specialised aerospace industry and wider engineering practice globally.
The Faculty of Science provides the foundational scientific knowledge underpinning aerospace and engineering disciplines — spanning physics, chemistry, mathematics, and applied sciences critical to Nigeria's technological advancement.
In an era where digital systems are at the core of modern aerospace operations, the Faculty of Computing prepares graduates in computer science, software engineering and cybersecurity — all critical disciplines for the aviation and aerospace industry of the 21st century.
The management and behavioural science dimension of aerospace education — preparing graduates in business management and psychology for careers supporting the operational, human factors and organisational demands of the aviation and aerospace industry.
UAAE offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes designed to meet NUC standards and global best practices. The 2026/2027 academic session marks the take-off of 25 programmes across the four faculties.
Four to five-year programmes leading to Bachelor of Engineering or Science degrees across all four faculties. Entry through JAMB UTME with five O'Level credits including Mathematics, Physics and English.
Advanced research and taught postgraduate programmes for professionals seeking specialisation in aerospace engineering, nuclear, telecommunications and related disciplines. UAAE has a postdoctoral position offered by JINR Russia.
UAAE will institute studentships, scholarships and bursaries for highly performing registered students as a reward for hardwork. Outstanding students will also be supported for advanced postgraduate and professional training.
UAAE operates on a student-centred academic model that combines rigorous theoretical instruction with hands-on practical training — preparing graduates not just to understand aerospace, but to advance it.
The academic pattern of UAAE is built around the conviction that excellence in science and technology education requires both depth and breadth. Students in engineering and science programmes receive a strong theoretical foundation in their first two years, followed by increasingly specialised and applied coursework in years three to five.
Every programme is designed to embed entrepreneurial and problem-solving skills alongside technical knowledge — because UAAE graduates are expected to not just find jobs in the aerospace industry, but to create opportunities within it.
The University's library is stocked with current Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering books, journals and periodicals, and equipped with academic resource software including MATLAB, SIMULINK, Aircraft CAD/CAM, CATIA, COSMOS, ORIGIN and SPSS.
Staff-student ratios are set in line with NUC regulations to promote effective teaching, close interaction and supervision. Every staff member is required to attend at least one local or international conference every three years and publish in rated journals.
